- Después de moler el maíz junto con la canela, se incorporan los demás ingredientes uno por uno, la mantequilla (derretida a baño María), la lechera, las 2 latas de leche evaporada, 2 pizcas de sal, la pizca de polvo para hornear, el aceite y el azúcar.
Obteniendo una mezcla muy suave - Se lavan las hojas de totomosle que obtuvimos al deshojar los elotes.
- Poner a fuego alto una vaporera con agua, y como base de los tamales poner hojas del mismo elote. Posteriormente en una hoja de totomosle agregar una cucharada de dicha mezcla y doblarlo cuidadosamente checando que no quede ningún orificio donde pudiese salir la mezcla.
- Cuando ya se tengan todos los tamales dentro de la vaporera, se deben tapar con las mismas hojas del elote y poner encima los 5 chiles costeños en forma de cruz (creencias de mi abuela)
- Dejar a fuego alto durante 75 minutos, supervisando que no se termine la leña o qué la vaporera se quede sin agua. Después de ese tiempo determinado, retirar la vaporera de la lumbre, dejar enfriar para después poder consumirlos
